Psychiatric Technician | Salinas Valley State Prison | Soledad, California

Schedule:

Thursday - Monday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Wednesday - Sunday | 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Saturday - Wednesday | 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Pay: Local: $40-$44/hour (Based on Experience)

Position Overview: Aequor Healthcare is seeking a Psychiatric Technician to work at Salinas Valley State Prison. This role is within a correctional healthcare setting, where you will provide behavioral health and psychiatric nursing care to mentally ill and developmentally disabled patients while working alongside an interdisciplinary treatment team.

Responsibilities:
• Provide general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients • Conduct daily clinical rounds and monitor patients for changes in mental and physical condition

Administer medications, treatments, and injections within scope of practice
Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient documentation

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of relevant Psychiatric Technician experience
Current and valid license issued by the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician
Current AHA BLS Certification
Ability to pass background check and fingerprinting

Assignment Details:

6-month contract with potential for extension
Orientation/training provided
