Legal Collections Specialists

Reports to: Collections Non-Equity Shareholder

Classification: Non-Exempt

Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday

Remote opportunity: Hybrid work schedule available after 90 days.

Job Responsibilities:

We have an immediate need due to increasing judgement placements and new client business. We are looking for Legal Collections Specialists who enjoy working on a fast paced, energized team. Excellent communication, organizational, and people skills are essential for the position. The right candidate will be a self-motivator, someone who works well with little supervision and driven to reach their monthly goals. Competitive salary and attainable bonuses. No evenings or weekends required.

Directly interact with debtors and negotiate payment plans
Determine best method for recovery by skip tracing and locating debtors, employment, earnings, liabilities, assets, and ability to pay
Comply with all client specific requirements
High level of professionalism and integrity

Skills & Qualifications

Solid collection experience, preferably 2 years minimum
A solid knowledge of collection laws
Strong analysis and judgment skills
Works well in a team environment
Strong organizational skills
Strong communication skills
Strong computer skills
Detail orientated
Problem solving skills
Flexibility and ability to multi-task

Requirements

Experience as an account representative, preferably consumer collections
Basic understanding of garnishments, bank attachments, certified judgments, and liens (will train the right candidate).
Strong attention to detail, ability to comply with company and departments procedures
Strong negotiation skills, solve problems effectively, exhibit active listening skills
Ability to work in cooperative and positive manner with coworkers
High school diploma or equivalent required (some college preferred)
