Position Overview
As a Handy-Person/Home Improvement Technician, you will perform a variety of residential repair, maintenance, and remodeling tasks. The ideal candidate has experience in multiple trades, works efficiently with minimal supervision, and maintains a professional attitude while interacting with customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform general home repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects.
- Complete tasks involving drywall, painting, trim work, flooring, doors, windows, and minor carpentry.
- Install fixtures, hardware, cabinetry, shelving, and other home features.
- Diagnose repair issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding project progress.
- Load, transport, and maintain tools and materials.
- Work collaboratively with project managers and team members to complete projects on schedule.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, carpenter, remodeler, or general contractor preferred.
- Working knowledge of multiple home improvement trades.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity.
