Full Job Description

Job Posting:

Civil Law Duties:

Candidate must have seven plus year experience in Civil law and duties include:

Assist in trial setting
Be a liaison between the client and lawyer
Perform client interviews
Prepare and draft motion
Prepare and review discovery packages
Prepare trial notebooks
Schedule court appearances

Ability to work independently, ability to multi-task, must be organized and efficient.

Paralegals must have excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Bilingual a plus but not required

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Litigation paralegal with Family Law experience, to assist with drafting motions and legal documentation for active matters throughout New Jersey courts. This role requires strong legal writing skills and a comprehensive understanding of New Jersey civil procedure across multiple divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft and review motions, pleadings, certifications, and other litigation documents
Prepare briefs and supporting legal memoranda
Ensure compliance with New Jersey Court Rules and eCourts filing requirements
Collaborate with legal team to support case strategy and meet deadlines
Assist with discovery, case evaluations, and procedural filings

Required Qualifications:

Paralegal Certificate
Demonstrated experience in civil litigation & family law
Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
Ability to manage assignments independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Experience:

Experience with motion practice and court appearances in New Jersey
Prior experience working in a fast-paced litigation environment
