Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and regulations. Your expertise in accounting software, financial systems, and accounting principles will be essential to streamline processes, maintain data integrity, and support overall financial health. Duties

Process high-volume invoice payments accurately using various financial software.
Perform account reconciliations and verify the accuracy of accounts payable transactions.
Manage vendor relationships by resolving payment discrepancies and responding to inquiries promptly.
Utilize Excel data analysis skills, including formulas and VLOOKUP functions, to review invoice data and identify discrepancies or anomalies.
Maintain detailed records of all transactions, supporting documentation, and audit trails for transparency and compliance purposes.
Assist with month-end closing processes by preparing journal entries related to accounts payable and reconciling general ledger accounts.

Qualifications

Proven experience in accounts payable functions within a corporate or public accounting environment.
Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop.
Knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Experience handling confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with vendors and internal teams.
Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable files.
Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
