Full Job Description

Job Overview

The Quality & Process Control Technician is responsible for maintaining quality assurance by supporting production with the evaluation of collagen product processes and in process product testing to ensure compliance with specifications. Communicates process and product issues to production promptly to minimize waste, improve productivity on the production line, and ensure that customers receive products that are fit for use. The Quality & Process Control Technician is committed to cGMP, Safety Regulations, and Quality and Food Safety Management Systems.

Responsibilities

Collect samples from each process and production line to perform testing.
Follows established testing sampling plans.
Perform routine and non-routine tests and analyses using the appropriate technical
equipment and instruments.
Calculate test results and log and report results using a computer or issuing a test report.
Maintain records of test results
Communicates quality issues and out of control results to production floor (Production Supervisors and Operators) to ensure corrections are done to minimize waste.
Re-test samples after corrections to ensure the process or product complies with specifications.
Conducts Audits and equipment checks.

Qualifications

· Ability to work independently and be productive within a team environment.
· Ability to adapt to different personalities and or management styles.
· Good organizational and planning skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
· Willingness to work flexible hours as needed. Overtime, nights, and weekends could be required.
· Quality control experience is preferred.
· Associate degree in a technical field
· Competency in mathematics
· 3 to 5 years equivalent work experience

Pay: $21.74 per hour
