HOURS: Monday-Friday 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri; Hourly Flexibility Required (early mornings, afternoons, occasional weekend & evening hours)

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Responsible for the management, administration, and execution of a high-quality Club experience with safety of our members at the forefront of all planning.
Coordinate, manage, and evaluate all programs and activities in the five core areas at the Club’s Beyond the Bell (BTB) program at the assigned LAUSD site. The primary focus is for comprehensive, outcome-driven programs, and service delivery with the aim of promoting and stimulating program participation to fulfill grant goals to serve a minimum of 100 members daily.
The Site Coordinator will provide supervision to youth, manage volunteers and provide supervision and training to direct reports. The Site Coordinator will oversee the management of the facility spaces assigned to the Club and is responsible for maintaining the relationship and communication with school administration and faculty, as well as BTB support staff. Special emphasis should be placed toward meeting performance metrics by leveraging all additional resources to achieve site specific goals year round.
KEY ROLES:
Leadership
1. Serve as a champion for a high-quality Club experience for all members.
2. Actively participate in all required and recommended Club training and staff meetings,
required site visits, conference calls, and professional development opportunities.
3. Lead professional development workshops and training for other Club staff across the
organization.
4. Recruit, hire, supervise, manage, and train program staff, manage administrative duties,
and serve as a key liaison between parents, schools, community groups, and Club
members.
5. Leads the efforts of all stakeholders in the after-school program (school administration,
staff, counselors, subcontracting community agencies, and volunteers), by providing a
structure for regular weekly communication between collaborative partners.
6. Evaluate staff performance on a regular basis, holding regular weekly and monthly staff
meetings for all direct service staff to discuss member recruitment strategies and
implementation.
7. Achieve an Average Daily Attendance (ADA) of a minimum of 100 youth by initiating,
promoting, and stimulating current BGCWV programs and new programs.
8. Develop and implement a recruitment strategy within 90 days of start to increase program visibility and participation.
9. Responsible for timely and accurate completion of all daily attendance and reporting
(using BTB App and paper backup) with follow up to families and youth regarding
absences.
10. Oversees proper and timely record keeping and reporting, including; activities and events conducted, daily participation figures, notable achievements, etc.
11. Responsible for the maintenance of the FPM Box for the assigned site. (i.e. active box for
18 months and historical boxes for five years).
Strategic Planning
1. Develop and monitor clearly defined, measurable goals in collaboration with executive
leadership, the Elementary Services Director and Elementary Program Supervisor to
meet performance metrics.
2. Conduct needs assessment of students and the community to enhance program offerings and garner increased member participation.
3. Report metrics and progress towards recruitment strategies at department meetings.
4. Develop and implement a comprehensive safety plan for the after-school program that is aligned with the existing school safety plan.
5. Provide pictures, video, and highlight stories to the Marketing team for monthly newsletter on the third Friday of each month.
Program Development and Implementation
1. Demonstrate a knowledge of, interest in, and respect for the community the Club serves.
2. Ensure a safe and positive environment, ensuring facilities, equipment and supplies are
maintained, replaced, and discarded appropriately with the Start Up Agreement
expectations.
3. Collaborate in the creation of monthly program calendars, activities, and service
opportunities that ensure youth are prepared for success and the achievement of Youth
Development Outcomes.
4. Offers an after-school program schedule that has a wide variety of activities that include
academic enrichment, educational enrichment, and physical education daily.
5. Ensure that each member receives a healthy, nutritious snack that conforms to nutrition
standards as established by the USDA’s National School Lunch Program (NSLP).
6. Create and manage internal processes to improve the quality of program delivery on a
quarterly basis (e.g., parent surveys, NYOI, site observation tools).
7. Compile monthly reports reflecting all activities (programs, special vendors, etc),
attendance (sign-in/-out sheets), early release reports, and participation at the site.
8. Addresses behavioral issues promptly and assists in conflict resolution with parents and
members.
9. Work with staff and members to correct unsafe behaviors, ensure emergency procedures
are followed, and take actions to prevent accidents.
10. Conduct staff observations and evaluations for continuous quality improvement in
partnership with the Elementary Services Director and Elementary Program Supervisor.
11. Collaborate with the Elementary Services Director and Elementary Program Supervisor
to implement and evaluate the overall programs and activities.
12. Participates in all evaluation activities by BTB and the California Department of
Education, which includes the collection and submission of required data.
Resource Management
1. Assist in the management of financial resources. Control expenditures against budget.
2. Collaborate with the Elementary Services Director to plan, develop, implement and
evaluate the overall services and activities to ensure the unit is operating within budget.
3. Ensure that each program enrollment form is properly completed and received before a
student begins the program. Claiming attendance for a student not properly enrolled is
prohibited.
4. Maintain a pupil-to-staff member ratio of no more than 20:1 (1st-5th grade) and 10:1
(TK and Kindergarten).
5. Assist in managing the budget for programmatic supplies, ensuring appropriate spending
and resource allocation.
6. Submit monthly expense reports and maintain financial records for programmatic
expenditures.
7. The Site Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the site's budget based on the
LAUSD BTB Contracts at their assigned site as it pertains to the expected ADA.
Partnership Development
1. Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders, and other community-based
organizations to maximize member participation.
2. Seek contributions (i.e. in-kind, pro-bono, and leveraged resources) to the program
including staff, volunteers, non-school facilities (as appropriate), equipment, and supplies,
community partners, and other resources in partnership with BGCWV Volunteer &
Community Relations Coordinator.
Marketing and Public Relations
1. Develop and maintain public relations to increase the visibility of programs, services, and
activities within the Club and the community.
2. Collect input from students, families, school administrators/staff, and community partners to assess needs and solicit feedback to encourage program improvement.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
● May be required to drive a Club vehicle (depending on driving record and age).
● May be required to work some weekends and evenings.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer) to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instructions; and advise/counsel etc.
External: Maintains contact with the external community which includes and is not limited to the Community Partners, groups, schools, members’ parents, and others to assist in providing a high-quality Club experience.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
● Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience in
managing teams.
● Strong organizational and leadership skills which align with our Values (Integrity,

● Must provide proof of being fully COVID vaccinated, provide a negative TB test, and be
first-aid/CPR certified.
● Must be willing to drive their personal vehicle and meet the insurance requirements of the organization.
DISCLAIMER:
The position requires the ability to maintain a stationary position and engage in physical activities such as moving, bending, reaching, and positioning. It may also involve traversing and ascending/descending as necessary. The role includes frequent interruptions via in-person contact, phone calls, and email communications. Work environments may vary, encompassing both indoor and outdoor conditions based on activity locations. Additionally, interactions with youth and adults may involve moderate to high noise levels during activities. Physical exertion may be necessary to move and transport supplies and equipment. Must be able to lift boxes up to 50 lbs. Staff is provided a laptop, cellphone, and a workspace at the site.
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
