Industrial Electrician with Automation

Electrical Journeyman License in MD or WV is required And a MSHA Electrical card required

Work Location: Cambridge, OH and Grantsville, MD
Estimated Start Date: within 2 weeks
Rate: $40.00 - $50.00/hr (non-exempt)
Per Diem: $120.00/day (7 days per week)
Mob / Demob: $500.00 each way
Hours: 40+

Position Details:
The Industrial Automation Controls Technician is a hands-on role centered on the installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial control systems, including VFDs, drives, motor controls, PLC-based systems, MCCs and related field instrumentation.

Work will be performed primarily at active customer sites, with occasional shop or office support as needed. The position requires flexibility, as this role may be involved in regular travel with overnight stays, as well as overtime based on project demands.

What You'll Do:
· Configure, start up, and troubleshoot VFDs, drives, motor controls, MCCs, and PLC-based control systems
· Work safely with a variety of voltages such as 24VDC, 120VAC, 480VAC, single phase and 3-phase
· Install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial electrical and automation systems in mining and aggregate facilities
· Diagnose and resolve electrical and controls issues to minimize downtime and support reliable plant operations
· Perform field modifications, upgrades, and system improvements to existing industrial equipment
· Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and control documentation
· Support system startups and field testing to ensure safe and proper operation

Requirements:
· 5+ years’ advance experience in electrical, controls, automation, or robotics preferred
· Must have an Electrical Journeyman License in MD or WV (this is required)
· Possess High School Diploma or equivalent
· Must have a Valid driver’s license (required)
· MSHA Electrical card required or willingness to obtain within a year
· Experience reading and interpreting manuals and electrical drawings required
· Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electric Code) and other electrical Standards
· Willing and able to perform hands-on work related to programming and automation controls

Physical Requirements:
· Walk / use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or tools / reach with hands and arms / climb ladders and stairs / crawl / kneel
· Sit, talk, listen, observe, read, write, and type
· Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted
· Perform work on site in industrial locations with occasional underground and/or at heights
