Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage accurate financial record-keeping, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support the organization’s financial health. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse accounting systems and contribute to the smooth operation of our financial processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent technical skills, and a passion for maintaining precise financial data.

Duties

Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and other financial systems
Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial statements
Process payroll and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions efficiently
Prepare journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger entries in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to verify data integrity across various accounts

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with familiarity in public accounting or corporate accounting environments
Strong knowledge of accounting concepts including debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger management
Proficiency in multiple accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial software tools
Experience with payroll processing.
Excellent skills in spreadsheets (Excel or similar) along with 10-key typing proficiency for efficient data entry
Ability to perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis accurately and efficiently
Knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting principles required for precise financial reporting
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy
