Our work ranges from historic residential renovations to commercial buildouts, adaptive reuse projects, and community-focused developments. We are looking for a skilled Carpenter who takes pride in craftsmanship, problem-solving, and building things the right way.
Position Summary
The Carpenter will work alongside our construction team to complete a wide range of renovation, restoration, and new construction tasks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and appreciates the details that make a project exceptional.
The right candidate will have strong carpentry skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Perform rough and finish carpentry work including framing, trim, doors, windows, cabinetry, and custom details
- Assist with historic renovation and restoration projects while preserving original character and materials
- Complete residential and commercial construction tasks with attention to quality and craftsmanship
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Communicate clearly with project managers, subcontractors, and team members
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and complete work efficiently and professionally
Qualifications
- 3+ years of carpentry or construction experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and materials
- Experience with remodeling of historic properties is a plus
- Ability to perform both rough and finish carpentry
- Comfortable working independently and managing tasks with limited supervision
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable transportation and ability to work at various project locations
- Ability to safely operate common construction tools and equipment, particularly woodworking tools
Preferred Skills
- Experience with historic restoration or older homes/buildings
- Finish carpentry skills
- Custom woodworking experience
- Ability to mentor less experienced team members
