Who We’re Looking For:
We are seeking individuals with hands-on animal care experience beyond pet ownership. Ideal candidates have backgrounds working in vet clinics, animal shelters, grooming facilities, or similar professional settings.
Job Requirements:
**Animal Expertise:**
- Comfortable handling large and small dogs with different temperaments.
- Confident walking dogs on various terrains and in all weather conditions.
- Proficient in using a variety of leashes, harnesses, and collars.
- Capable of cleaning litter boxes and handling pet messes efficiently.
- Experience with pets exhibiting behavioral challenges.
**Excellent People Skills:**
- Strong communication skills with both clients and team members.
- Professional, courteous, positive team attitude, and reliable—**no drama, no exceptions.**
**Availability:**
- Must be available to work some weekends and most holidays.
Our first offered visits start at 7 AM, and our last visits can be as late as 9-10 PM.
- Willingness to work overnight pet-sitting jobs is a plus.
- Comfortable driving in the dark and in various weather conditions.
**Attention to Detail:**
- Ability to follow specific instructions for each client’s home and pet care needs.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple homes, pets, and schedules.
**Reliable Transportation:**
- A dependable vehicle is required; **4WD/AWD is a plus** for winter travel.
- Must be comfortable transporting pets in case of emergencies.
**Adaptability & Communication:**
- Flexible and able to adjust to last-minute schedule changes.
- Must be proactive, proficient, and responsive using multiple mobile apps for scheduling and communication.
**Trustworthiness & Professionalism:**
- Must pass a background check and multiple assessments.
- Our clients trust us in their homes, and we maintain the highest standards of integrity.
**Bonus Skills:**
- Experience with barn animals and livestock.
- Knowledge of handling rescue animals or multi-pet households.
- Experience administering pet medications
