Job Summary:
This position is a full-time, on-site position at our Rock Hill, SC facility.
The Junior Process Engineer's Technician’s primary responsibility is to apply standards set by the Engineering department for electroplating precious metals on Reel-to-Reel plating lines. The Junior Process Engineering will also complete production line Set-Up Verifications and implement process improvements with the purpose of reducing usage of precious metals, improving productivity, and increasing yield.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Responsible for maintaining documentation. The primary focus is on the process documentation (EDS or Engineering Data Specification) which must be available for all production runs and must be kept current. Maintaining tooling numbering will also be important.
· Supports definition of production chemistry and optimization of those chemistries as they apply to our specific products. Assists laboratory with development integrating chemistry and equipment technologies.
· Implement process improvements whose purpose will be to reduce usage of precious materials, improve quality, improve productivity, or improve environmental and safety. Such projects may be assigned by the Engineering Manager or may be self-initiated. Assist production in resolving process related issues.
· Determine whether existing tooling will optimize tooling selection based on data of process performance. Evaluation of process data for determination of non-discrepant plated material. Will involve interpreting data trends, alarm files and Production notes.
· Complete all production line set-up verifications as requested by the production department.
· Other duties as needed and directed by the Engineering Manager.
Position Requirements:
· This position requires long periods of mental concentration and manual dexterity. The work performed is a mix of seated and standing, with hands on requirements for working with production tooling and processes. Frequent periods of walking about the plant to gather information or attend meetings.
· Candidate will currently have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering OR Chemistry. No work experience necessary.
· Physical ability to bend over and lift 50 pounds.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
