Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Subcontractor to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from remodeling to new installations. Duties
- Execute various construction tasks including tile masonry, fixture installation, cabinet hanging, door hanging, flooring installation, and overall Remodeling with precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately follow specifications for each project.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for building material installation, plastering, caulking, stucco application, and other related tasks.
- Measure dimensions accurately using tape measures and other measuring tools to ensure proper fit and finish.
- Conduct inspections on-site to verify quality of work, ensure compliance with building codes, and identify any necessary adjustments or corrections.
- Collaborate with general contractor to understand project scope, timelines, and specific requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following proper safety procedures and using ladder safely when working at heights.
Skills
- Extensive experience with construction management principles and construction estimating processes.
- Proficiency for reviewing plans, marking up drawings, and managing documentation.
- Strong background in Remodeling, interpreting technical drawings, and following blueprint specifications.
- Skilled in basic plumbing, electrical work, tile laying, drywall finishing (including plastering), caulking, fixture installation, cabinet hanging, door hanging, flooring installation, and building material installation.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, ladders safely and effectively on various job sites.
- Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately for precise installations.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Construction site experience with a focus on remodeling projects or new builds.
