Role Overview
As a Grassroots Associate, you will engage voters on critical public policy and political issues—such as protecting individual liberty and freedom—through door-to-door grassroots canvassing efforts in the greater Kanawha Valley area.
This is a temporary, part-time contracted position working with AFP teams through Canvass America, the third-party employer for this position.

How You Will Contribute
· Engage in door-to-door canvassing, discussing AFP’s policy and political agenda with voters.
· Provide logistical support for AFP’s grassroots organizing, door-to-door campaigns, and community engagement initiatives.
· Share feedback with AFP staff regarding survey responses and messaging effectiveness.
What You Will Need
· A strong commitment to AFP’s mission to advance public policies that help reignite the American Dream.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to discuss challenging public policy ideas openly and respectfully.
· Ability to walk 2–4 miles per day, climb a flight of stairs (reasonable accommodation available) and spend a significant amount of time outdoors in various weather conditions.
· Availability to complete 15 hours per week.
· Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
· Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
· Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
