Metro 911 of Kanawha County is currently seeking to hire energetic multi-taskers for the role of Public Safety Telecommunicator. Our Public Safety Telecommunicators receive and dispatch emergencies to law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and emergency medical services. Our Telecommunicators obtain detailed information to coordinate with other first responders to safeguard personal findings, and are dedicated to keep you, your family, and your community safe. This is a full time position only. In this role, you will serve the citizens and first responders of Kanawha County on the front lines of emergency response.

Starting pay will begin at $22.00 per hour; once all training is complete,
pay will increase to $23.00 per hour.
Our job begins with a paid 8-week training course. After the 8-week training course, you will transition to the dispatch center for “on the job training”. There is built in overtime and additional overtime opportunities are available.
