Sales Director

Watertown, South Dakota

On-site with travel throughout assigned territories (up to 35%).

Schedule

Full-time
Monday–Friday business hours with occasional evening and weekend work as business needs require

Salary Range: $100,000 annually + bonus opportunity

The Role

We're looking for a strategic, people-focused Sales Director to lead and develop our sales organization while driving sustainable growth. This role partners closely with the President and leadership team to execute sales strategies, coach a high-performing team, strengthen customer relationships, and identify new market opportunities. Success in this position comes from building trust, developing people, and leading with accountability while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

What You'll Do

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team focused on achieving growth objectives.
Develop and execute sales strategies that expand market share and support company profitability.
Establish sales goals, monitor performance, and help team members achieve individual and team success.
Build strong relationships with builders, dealers, architects, and key customers.
Collaborate with marketing to generate qualified leads and strengthen the customer pipeline.
Use CRM data and sales analytics to improve forecasting and decision-making.
Work cross-functionally with estimating, drafting, production, and leadership to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Experience leading and developing a successful sales team.
Proven success developing and executing sales strategies.
Strong relationship-building and customer management skills.
Experience working in a goal-driven sales environment.
Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership abilities.
Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
Experience using CRM software and Microsoft Office.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Willingness to travel up to 35%.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the construction, building products, or manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of high-performance or energy-efficient building systems.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working with builders, architects, or commercial construction professionals.
