This is a lead role, hands-on UI/UX design role for someone who is genuinely strong across the entire design spectrum — both UX (research, flows, information architecture, usability) and UI (visual craft, design systems, interaction detail). You will own design end-to-end for products and features across our SaaS portfolio, from problem through to polished, production-ready interface and developer handoff.
This is a lead role that combines hands-on design with team leadership. You will be the most experienced designer in the room, set the quality standard through your own work, and manage a team of around five designers — owning their output, priorities, growth, and quality of work. You will still design directly; this is a hands-on leader role, not a pure management seat. You should be comfortable in a high-paced IT / product environment, able to juggle multiple products, and self-directed enough to drive design without hand-holding.
- Own the full design process across products: research, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI.
- Conduct user research and usability testing, and turn findings into clear design decisions.
- Design pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces for web and mobile, to a senior standard.
- Make and defend design decisions based on user needs and product goals.
Design Systems & Craft Standard
- Build and maintain design systems, component libraries, and standards across products.
- Set and hold the visual and interaction quality bar — your work is the reference others follow.
- Drive consistency across a portfolio of products, not just individual screens.
- Manage a team of around five designers — set priorities, review work, hold the quality bar, and
support their growth.
- Partner closely with product managers and developers for clean handoff and faithful
implementation.
- Collaborate with the brand / marketing team to keep product and brand aligned.
- Balance your own hands-on design work with leading the team, at pace, across multiple products.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on UI/UX / product design, with a strong portfolio that proves depth
- Full-spectrum UI/UX: genuinely strong across both UX (research, flows, IA, usability) and UI (visual craft, design systems, interaction) — not specialized in only one side
- IT / product background: experience designing software / SaaS / digital products in an IT or product company
- Fast-paced environment: proven ability to deliver quality in a high-paced, multi-project setting
- Tools: advanced Figma (mandatory); plus Adobe XD / Sketch / Framer as relevant
- Design systems: real experience building and maintaining design systems and component
libraries
- Team leadership: experience managing or leading a design team of around five — setting
priorities, reviewing work, and developing designers
- Communication: clear communicator who can present and defend design decisions to product and engineering
- Working knowledge of graphic design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva) for supporting visual assets — a plus, not a requirement.
- Experience designing for AI-driven products (chat, agents, AI-output states).
- Familiarity with AI design tools (Figma AI, Uizard, Galileo, or similar).
- Basic understanding of front-end constraints (components, responsive behaviour, HTML/CSS) for clean handoff.
- Is a senior, full-spectrum product designer — equally strong at UX thinking and UI craft.
- Comes from an IT / product / SaaS background and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Sets the quality bar through their own work and leads a small design team.
- Is self-directed, owns design across multiple products, and delivers without hand-holding.
- Can balance hands-on design with managing and growing a team of around five.
A strong portfolio is required — applications without one will not be reviewed. We want to see senior-level work that shows both your UX thinking (the problem, research, and decisions) and your UI craft (the final, polished interface). Relevant SaaS / product / AI work will stand out. Be prepared to walk us through one or two projects in depth.
Hiring Process Our process focuses on real design ability: portfolio review an initial HR conversation a practical design assignment (which you will present and defend) a panel discussion with the product and engineering teams. The emphasis throughout is on your portfolio and the assignment — the actual work.
