Full Job Description

$145K - $175K + Annual Discretionary Bonus

Full-Time | Hybrid Opportunity

RC&C is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing tax practice.

This role is for a public accounting professional who can take ownership of client relationships, manage tax engagements, review complex returns, develop staff, and work directly with partners on tax planning and consulting matters.

Responsibilities

Manage and review complex individual, partnership, S corporation, C corporation, and trust tax returns
Oversee tax engagement workflow, deadlines, and client information requests
Review work prepared by staff, seniors, and supervisors
Develop and maintain strong client relationships
Assist with tax projections, planning, and consulting
Research federal and state tax issues and provide recommendations
Respond to tax notices and client questions
Train, mentor, and develop tax staff
Manage multiple engagements concurrently
Work directly with partners on complex tax matters and client strategy

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
5+ years of public accounting tax experience
Experience reviewing complex business and individual tax returns
Experience managing tax engagements and client relationships
Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities

Preferred

CPA license
Experience with closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals
Strong tax planning and projection experience
Thomson Reuters UltraTax experience
Experience supervising and developing professional staff
