Pay Rate: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time (35 hours per week, 5-day work week including weekends)
Schedule: Daytime hours only. No evening shifts required.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented, reliable, and leadership-minded Chef to run our scratch-kitchen operations. This is a hands-on cooking role where you will bring our menu to life while managing our small, dedicated team and handling vendor relations. Because we value work-life balance, this position features zero evening shifts—giving you your nights back while allowing you to run a kitchen you can be proud of.

What You Will Do

Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and schedule our small kitchen staff of 2-3 employees to ensure efficient daily prep and service.
Supply Chain Management: Routinely audit inventory and place orders directly with external suppliers to keep the kitchen fully and freshly stocked.
Scratch Cooking: Prepare and cook daily batches of soups, complex salads, premium sandwich components, and take-home dinners from raw ingredients.
Baking Support: Assist with or execute production of daily baked goods.
Meal Prep & Packaging: Portion, package, and merchandise grab-and-go items and take-home meals with an eye for presentation and freshness.
Food Safety: Maintain a spotless, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment in strict accordance with local health codes.

What We Are Looking For

Proven experience as a Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Prep Cook in a scratch-kitchen, deli, or catering environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and direct a small team (2-3 kitchen staff).
Experience handling inventory controls and ordering from food service vendors and suppliers.
Deep knowledge of culinary techniques, knife skills, food safety, and batch-cooking mechanics.
Availability to work a consistent 5-day daytime schedule, which includes weekend shifts.
A positive attitude, strong reliability, and a genuine pride in serving high-quality food.
