Full Job Description

The Whitcomb Senior Living Tower is looking for a receptionist for our full-time Monday-Friday 4 pm- 12 am shift.

Summary:

The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff at our assisted living facility. This position is responsible for providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere while ensuring the efficient operation of the front desk.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reception and Greeting:
Greet and welcome all individuals entering the facility in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer incoming calls, direct calls to appropriate personnel, and take messages as needed.
Maintain a visitor log and issue visitor badges.
Monitor resident sign-in/out logs and assist with resident transportation arrangements.
Administrative Support:
Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages.
Assist with filing, data entry, and other clerical tasks.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating activities.
Resident and Family Support:
Respond to resident and family inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
Assist residents and families with non-medical needs.
Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
Safety and Security:
Monitor security cameras and access control systems.
Respond to emergencies and follow established protocols.
Ensure the safety and well-being of residents and visitors.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a reception or customer service role preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
Compassionate and patient demeanor.

Physical Demands:

Ability to sit for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Work Environment:

Primarily an indoor office environment.
May be exposed to communicable diseases.
May encounter stressful situations.
