Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control in South Hill, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, manage visitor and delivery access, and conduct routine patrols of assigned areas. Your visible presence, clear communication, and prompt reporting of security-related concerns will help prevent unauthorized access. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
Control access by verifying employee, visitor, contractor, and vendor credentials and authorizations before granting entry.
Monitor entrances, exits, deliveries, and vehicle traffic; maintain accurate access logs and report unauthorized activity.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document security-related events according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify access concerns and unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
