Job Summary

Steamers Bar and Grill are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager to lead our restaurant and bar operations with passion and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant management, ensuring exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and team leadership. Your enthusiasm for the food industry and hospitality will drive the success of the restaurant, creating a welcoming environment for guests and a motivating workplace for staff. You will be responsible for managing daily operations, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, controlling costs, and fostering a positive team culture. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader eager to make a significant impact in a fast-paced culinary environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff management to ensure smooth daily functioning.
Oversee inventory control, food safety protocols, and proper food handling practices to maintain compliance with health regulations.
Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to ensure accurate order processing, cash handling, and sales reporting.
Train, develop, and motivate staff through effective team training programs, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations.
Monitor financial performance by analyzing profit and loss statements, managing budgets, and implementing cost-control measures.
Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and maintaining high standards of hospitality.
Coordinate shift management, scheduling staff efficiently to meet business demands while optimizing labor costs.
Implement food safety management procedures and oversee kitchen operations to uphold quality standards in food production.
Conduct staff interviews and assist in hiring qualified team members who align with the restaurant’s values.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Proven managerial experience in quick service or fast food restaurants; casual dining or fine dining experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen management.
Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; proficiency in cash handling and basic math skills are essential.
Demonstrated ability to manage inventory control, food safety protocols, and food handling standards effectively.
Prior experience supervising teams within the hospitality or food industry; excellent leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of restaurant management practices including shift management, budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and staff training & development.
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
