Full Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN) ICU

Location: Princeton, NJ
Assignment Type: Local Contract (13 Weeks)
Contract Dates: August 18, 2026 November 14, 2026
Schedule: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM (Night Shift)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Job Summary

Client is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Critical Care Unit (CCU) on a 13-week local contract. The ideal candidate will have recent ICU experience and be confident providing high-quality care to critically ill adult patients in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill ICU/CCU patients.
Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products according to physician orders.
Operate and monitor critical care equipment, including cardiac monitors and infusion pumps.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BSN required.
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred).
Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced critical care environment.

Schedule Requirements

Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
36 guaranteed hours per week
Every other weekend required.
Every other holiday required.
