Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Laboratory Technician | Laboratory

Behind every diagnosis is a laboratory professional whose skill, accuracy, and dedication help guide patient care. At Gateway Regional Medical Center, we're looking for a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our laboratory team.

Whether you're an experienced laboratory professional or a recent graduate ready to begin your career, you'll have the opportunity to put your knowledge to work in a supportive hospital environment where your contribution truly matters.

What You'll Do

As part of our laboratory team, you'll help provide the accurate, timely results clinicians rely on to diagnose conditions and make treatment decisions. Your responsibilities will include:

Performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures supporting diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention
Analyzing and interpreting test results with accuracy and attention to detail
Following established quality control and safety standards
Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory instruments and equipment
Working collaboratively with laboratory and clinical teams to support excellent patient care

What We're Looking For

MLT Candidates

Associate degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program, including chemistry and biology coursework, or an equivalent combination of accredited coursework and structured/military laboratory training
Eligible for MLT certification through ASCP, AMT, HEW, CLS/NCA, or an equivalent credentialing organization
Registry within 12 months of program completion is recommended

MT/MLS Candidates

Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
One year of accredited laboratory training
Eligible for MLS/MT certification through ASCP, AMT, HEW, CLS/NCA, or an equivalent credentialing organization
Certification within 12 months of program completion is preferred
