Full Job Description

AHM Youth & Family Services is seeking an experienced accounting professional to provide administrative and support services for the agency. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for verifying and processing vendor invoices, handling purchase requests, and communicating with contractors.

Schedule: 24 to 27 hours per week (Flexible schedule within core business hours)

Responsibilities:

· Manage accounts payable using QuickBooks accounting software and other programs.

· Review and process vendor invoices; prepare checks and ACH transfers in a timely and accurate manner.

· Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors, and resolve vendor issues.

· Responsible for purchasing and inventory of office and program supplies.

· Support building maintenance by scheduling annual service calls, troubleshooting building issues, and researching potential vendors.

· Collect W-9’s and Certificates of Insurance for all contractors and contractual workers.

· Verify expense reports and ensure compliance with AHM’s policies.

· Collaborate with Executive Director regarding grant spending and reporting.

· Submit monthly NCAAA grant report for Chores program.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years Accounts Payable or other accounting experience required.

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business preferred.

· Proficiency with financial management software, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel required.

· Strong listening and communication skills as well as the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.

· Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
