Position Enrollment Coordinator

Department Admissions

Available August 2026

Detroit Country Day School is a private, independent, co-educational, non-denominational, preschool through grade 12, college preparatory school focused on a well-rounded liberal arts education. Position Summary

The Enrollment Coordinator is an integral member of the Admissions and Enrollment team at Detroit Country Day School. The Enrollment Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Enrollment Management and Financial Aid and supports the enrollment office by overseeing enrollment systems, tracking data, and analyzing market trends. The Enrollment Coordinator also supports all campus visits and admissions events throughout the admissions season, aids in financial aid application communications, and manages and upkeep of the admissions center. The Enrollment Coordinator is a collaborative and supportive team member with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to the mission and values of Detroit Country Day School. This is a full-time, 12-month position.

Primary Responsibilities

Admissions Data Systems, CRM Management, Enrollment Data Analysis, and Reporting

Manage and maintain the admissions and enrollment process database.
Lead in the tracking, communication, and issuance of all re-enrollment and new enrollment contracts in coordination with the Business Office.
Ensures the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of admissions and enrollment data.
Builds and maintains admissions workflows, application processes, and online portals;
Communicate enrollment data across all departments
Develops systems to track prospective families across the admissions funnel from inquiry through enrollment.
Supports data integration across admissions, financial aid, and academic systems.
Tracks and analyzes key admissions metrics including inquiries, applications, yield, enrollment, and attrition;
Produces regular reports and dashboards to support enrollment strategy and operational decision-making;
Support the creation and analysis of admissions surveys and feedback tools.

Visit Coordination, Admissions Related Functions, and Financial Aid assistance.

Lead in the coordination of all signature admissions events and visit experiences including open houses, and other focused recruitment events.
Coordinate campus visits, including managing calendars, confirming appointments, and preparation of necessary material.
Manages systems supporting event registration, scheduling, and family communication.,
Manage upkeep of the admissions office and reception area.
Serve as a contact for prospective families interested and manage all aspects of the admissions process if needed.
Manage and record applicant information on our applicant database system.
Represent DCDS during school admission events.
Conduct student interviews and family meetings if needed.
Coordinate a mission-aligned admissions review process for prospective applicants.
Read and evaluate applicant files and serve on the Admission Review Committee.
Support assessment activities and be the lead in recording assessment results in middle and upper school.
Assist in the financial aid application process.
Any other responsibilities set forth by the Director of Enrollment Management and Financial Aid.

Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to consistently provide a high level of customer service and responsiveness to students and parents while demonstrating warmth, professionalism, and accuracy.

Bachelors degree preferred
At least 3 -5 years of relevant work experience
Experience in an independent school or nonprofit environment preferred
Strong organizational and follow-through skills; ability to independently establish and manage multiple and often competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
High level of discretion in handling confidential financial information
Build and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and other external partners.
Advanced proficiency with spreadsheets and data analysis tools necessary along with experience with enrollment CRM platforms.
Strong proficiency with Google Workspace and a strong ability and willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies.

Work Environment

Office-based role within a collaborative Admissions Office
Regular interaction with parents, faculty, and administrative staff
Occasional need for flexibility during peak seasons

Physical Requirements

Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a computer, phone, and printer, and to review digital and printed documents.
Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working at a computer (typically 6–8 hours per day).
May require occasional movement within the office to access files, printers, or collaborate with colleagues.
Ability to lift and carry light office materials (typically up to 10–15 pounds), such as files or office supplies.
Capability to perform repetitive tasks such as data entry and document processing.
