Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Clerk to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical department by providing exceptional interpersonal skills and managing administrative tasks. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Answer phone calls with professionalism, addressing inquiries and scheduling appointments.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage care plans in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Maintain an organized filing system
Tracking and replenishing department office supplies
Scanning and faxing as needed
Medical data entry as needed
Copying charts proficiently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Support the medical team by preparing patient files for appointments and assisting with administrative tasks as needed
Provide excellent patient service by addressing concerns and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Medical Clerk in a medical setting
Strong work etiquette and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Knowledge of Workers Compensation, FMLA and Return to work a plus
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain organization in a busy environment.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
