Full Job Description

FULL TIME-NIGHTS

Scope of the Work

Reports to Sleep Manager under supervision by Polysomnographic Technologist. A Student Polysomnographic Technologist works under the general supervision of the Medical Director and designee (department director/manager/supervisor/technologist) to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent
Currently, enrolled in or have completed the A-STEP or STAR designated online Self Study Modules in preparation for certification exam OR, completed ASTEP didactic education program OR, in a formal polysomnography program and/or enrolled in a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) program with the polysomnography option.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists required within 1 year or National Board of Respiratory Care.
