Office Manager / Bookkeeper

We are a well-established marketing and customer communications company with more than 35 years of success. Operating from multiple locations throughout Southeast Michigan, we employ over 150 professionals and provide customer contact, marketing, and administrative services for many well-known companies in the consumer services industry.

We are looking for an organized, dependable professional who will play an important role in our daily operations while helping us leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to improve efficiency and streamline business processes.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Office Manager / Bookkeeper who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced office environment.

This position combines office administration, bookkeeping, executive support, and project coordination. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting company leadership, and ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of our office.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Reconcile customer and vendor statements.
Process invoices, payments, deposits, and maintain accurate accounting records.
Answer incoming telephone calls and manage company correspondence.
Assist with project coordination and follow up on assignments and deadlines.
Maintain organized office files, records, and electronic databases.
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and business correspondence.
Perform data entry and general administrative duties.
Assist company executives with special projects and administrative support.
Identify opportunities to improve office efficiency through technology and AI-powered tools.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping and office management experience.
Experience with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with Sage 50 (formerly Peachtree) preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Access is a plus.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Professional telephone and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining accuracy.
High degree of integrity and confidentiality.
