Staff Accountant – Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable (In-Office)

Job title: Staff Accountant – Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable

Pay: $22.50 - $26.50 per hour. Pay rate based on experience.

Job description:

TSTIMPRESO, a national leader in paper converting and bottled water, is now hiring an experienced Staff Accountant to assist with managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. If you're hard-working and dedicated, TST is a perfect place to get ahead.

This is an in-office position in Coppell, Texas. (Not remote or hybrid remote.) This position reports directly to the company's CFO.

Responsibilities for Staff Accountant – Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable:

Support duties related to accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
Support monthly and yearly close-out functions
Assist with account reconciliation process, aging reports and monthly rebate calculations.
Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies
Sales and use tax knowledge/experience, including filing periodic returns
Assist CFO by completing any and all assigned projects and other accountancy responsibilities.

Also:

Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely fashion
Maintain confidentiality of all financial data
Interpret and apply accounting principles, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
Compile and prepare routine reports and summaries

Required Qualifications

5+ years’ experience in accounting.
Excellent Excel Skills. Pivot table/VLOOKUP knowledge and experience a must.
Associate's Degree (or higher) OR equivalent years of working experience.
Proficiency with Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate multiple programs.
Able to work a 40-hour in-office schedule within the operating hours of the company.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work with others and independently on assigned duties
Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s and/or bachelor’s degree in Accounting
7+ years of experience in a related environment (i.e. office, accounting, tax, clerical, etc.)
In-depth experience working with audits
