Full Job Description

Assistant Manager:

An Excellent candidate is able to lead by example; motivate, coach and direct team members throughout the shift to ensure highest effeciency, customer service and satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Work Alongside of team members and provide all Bakery Customer Service Job requirements (See Below for details)

· Delegate/Supervise responsibility of cleaning and closing procedures

· Oversee training of new employees

· Check in Stock; Organize and place items in correct location

· Ensure Product quality and presentation

· Handle Customer complaints or special needs

· Close out day’s receipts on POS

· Communicate with the Store manager about staffing scheduling; product ordering; etc.

Shift will be 5 days per week starting at 9:30 AM to Close. Required to work on Saturdays and Holidays. Closed on Sundays.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

· Prior experience in restaurant management a plus

· Leadership – Able to direct team to produce product; serve customers and clean store to restaurant grade standards

· Excellent Communication skills on all levels – to the Customers, Staff, and Management

· Time Management – Must report on time and ready to work. Efficiently/Effectively handle closing of the store and making sure it is clean and prepped for next day

· Food Handling Safety

· Knowledge of Food Grade Cleaning and Sanitizing

Bakery Customer Service Job Description:

Greets customers in a pleasant and helpful manner. Answer phone calls and take orders.

Takes and fills bakery orders for customers.

Answers customers’ questions about food ingredients, cake designs and other aspects of the baked goods.

Operates POS

Arranges cakes, pies, muffins, rolls and other baked goods in an attractive manner in the display cases and on shelves and counters.

Makes certain that displays are filled with products and not low on merchandise or empty.

Ensures displayed baked goods are fresh, and removes any that could have become stale after a period of time.

Verifies that customers who have communicated food allergies are not sold products that could be dangerous to their health.

Keeps work areas sanitary by mopping floors and wiping counters to immediately clean up any spills.

Prepare hot beverages to order.

Bakery Customer Service Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

Must be able to complete customer order forms completely and file each one properly so that every order is filled on time.

Process orders and accept money through POS

Must be able to endure long hours of standing, walking around behind counters and bending to retrieve baked goods from display counters.

Must have good communication skills and be willing to work with the general public.

Must be patient with customers who are dissatisfied and understand when it is necessary to request assistance from a supervisor.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
