With over 80 years of dedicated service, we offer a broad range of programs including case management, residential services, and food resources to help people overcome barriers to self-sufficiency. Starting July 1, Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada will be launching a Family Stabilization and Recovery Program funded through the One Nevada Opioid Settlement. We are seeking a Director to implement this Grant-funded program. This position will supervise four Case Managers.

Qualified candidates must be adept at multi-tasking, demonstrate mature and ethical judgment, possess strong problem-solving skills, be able to establish priorities, have the ability to lead a diverse interdisciplinary team, have excellent verbal, written, and listening skills, along with data entry skills to track clients and their outcomes. Must have an understanding of and ability to work with individuals who have mental health and/or substance abuse issues and understanding of trauma-informed care is helpful. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills for effective and efficient case and grant management. This position is responsible for intense grant metrics tracking and reporting.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct Case Management

Responds to family referrals within 72 hours, conducting strengths-based safety and stabilization assessments.
Administers SBIRT for adults in the household at intake.
Develops individualized service and stability plans within 30 days, incorporating housing, income, health, family stability, and recovery goals.
Provides ongoing trauma-informed case management and follow-up, maintaining a direct caseload alongside mentorship responsibilities.
Coordinates referrals with warm hand-offs and documented follow-up to CCNN internal services and external partners.
Issues warm hand-off referrals for family members with OUD.
Coordinates emergency and milestone-based assistance including rental support, document recovery, utility assistance, and stabilization supports.

Mentorship and Team Support

Supervise and mentor case managers and PRSS to ensure consistent client response, effective service planning, and fidelity to the program model.
Supports scheduling coordination to maintain 72-hour response coverage across the caseload.
Provides solutions-focused guidance when staff encounter complex client situations or service gaps.
Supports data entry consistency, ensuring Casebook documentation standards are maintained across the team.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Holds at least a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field.
Brings three or more years of case management experience in social services, behavioral health, family services, or recovery settings.
Understands trauma-informed care, harm reduction, SBIRT, and strengths-based case management.
Works proficiently in Casebook or comparable case management systems and in Microsoft Office Suite.
Holds a valid driver's license and has reliable transportation for home visits.
Passes a background check as required for positions serving vulnerable populations.

PREFERRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

Master’s degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field required.
Holds social work licensure in Nevada or is actively pursuing it.
Brings personal lived experience in OUD or SUD recovery.
Communicates bilingually in English and Spanish.
Knows Washoe County's behavioral health, housing, and recovery services landscape.
PRSS certification encouraged.

WORKING CONDITIONS

While this position is primarily in office, the work may involve exposure to vulnerable individuals experiencing homelessness, active substance use, mental health crises, and unpredictable conditions. Additionally, this position will schedule and oversee individuals who will be responsible for providing services on weekends and evenings.

Pay: $82,000.00 per year
