Full Job Description

Our client is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to join their team. As a Data Center Operations Technician, you will be part of the Facilities Operations supporting critical infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:Data Center Operations Technician

Location:Sparks, Nevada

Pay Range:$28

What's the Job?

Manage and oversee data center engineering operations on-site, ensuring safety and efficiency standards are maintained.
Coordinate with technicians, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality work and adherence to procedures.
Establish performance benchmarks, analyze operational data, and prepare detailed reports on facility performance.
Operate and maintain critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS, chillers, and cooling towers, including emergency response when necessary.
Assist in designing, building, and optimizing new and existing facilities to improve operational efficiency and reliability.

What's Needed?

Bachelor’s Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree with relevant experience.
0-2 years of relevant work experience in data center or engineering environments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Excellent leadership and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Fundamental knowledge of network design, low voltage cabling, and critical infrastructure systems.
