Smart Business is a company that helps those in the community mental health field get contracts with our clients to provide services for them. We work with you to make sure you have everything that is required to be a fully professional contractor, weather you currently have a business of your own (this is required) or if not, we will guide you on how to start. At least a sole proprietorship business is required. We also make sure that all of your required business documents and paperwork for our clients are compliant.

One of Smart Business’ vendors seeking independent contractors is WIN Family Health Services. WIN is one of Maryland’s leading providers of social and therapeutic services, and they are always looking for the best and brightest independent contractors to join their growing organization. All candidates must be compassionate and receptive of their spiritual and faith-based interventions, activities, and environment. WIN's mission is to promote holistic, strength-based, and faith-based principles within the human service community. Currently looking for full time contractors for Baltimore City, Maryland that are Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking contractors only at this time and for Cecil County MD. Their goal is to therapeutically support and strengthen youth, families, organizations and communities through the creation of innovative services, products and initiatives. Service Role requirements:

Preferred is a professional degree in a mental health, human service-related field, OR
30 hours, or their equivalent, of college credit toward a bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field; OR
1 year of work experience in a supervised mental health setting
A Registered Business, EIN and Professional Liability Insurance ( will assist in setting up)
Experience working with Microsoft Office programs on the computer.
Personal Laptop or computer is required.
Pass a criminal background check, child protective service background, physical, PPD, and drug screening.
Have a reliable and insured vehicle, a great deal of flexibility, and the willingness to travel locally.
Independent Contractor requirements
Commit to a minimum of 4 hours of direct service, per client, per month. Minimum of 4 clients is required at start.
Commit to contractually specified weekly and monthly meetings for monitoring of service outcomes.

Primary responsibilities:

Facilitate psychiatric rehabilitation, behavioral support services, and crisis intervention for assigned clients, according to Individualized Rehabilitation Plan, by:
Teaching & Instruction
Encouragement of Positive Change
Skill Demonstrations and Practice
Promote Individual Wellness, Self-Management, and Recovery.
Assist in the restoration and/or improvement of Self-Care and Social Skill.
Facilitate effective strategies for strengthened Independent Living and the achievement of self-sufficiency goals.
Expose individuals to academic, vocational, and employment training and resources.
Facilitate culturally relevant activities directed toward improved social relationships.
Encourage Health Promotion, Proper Nutrition, and Exercise.

Pay: up to $55 per hour per client (contractor can service more than 1 client in any given hour, and will be paid the hourly rate for each client)'
