Pinnacle Partnership Hotel Hospitality Summer Internship Program

Pinnacle Partnership is an independent, award-winning hospitality and development company headquartered in Spartanburg, SC. Essentially, we plan, build, manage, and maintain hotels- and we do it well! We create places of connection where people feel welcome through our gracious hospitality, entrepreneurial spirit, and rewarding growth.

Our on-property and corporate executive teams bring years of leadership experience in the hotel management industry, along with a rare vision for hospitality and a passion for connecting with people that can turn hotels and restaurants into memorable destinations.

Minimum Age 16, Maximum 18.

Must currently be enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a Spartanburg County School.

Must provide own transportation.

Work hours 10am-3pm with occasional shifts as early as 8:30am or as late as 7pm.

What to expect

As an intern with Pinnacle Partnership, you will learn inside the best classroom that hospitality has to offer- a hotel. After orientation and a brief primer on the world of hotel management and roles, you will cycle through each available department, experiencing many of the positions available in a hotel. You may choose one category or department on which to focus during the last week of your time if you so choose to dive deeper into a position that interests you. You will immerse yourself in a culture of hospitality and service, guided by the professionals who do it every day! Each week will come with several lesson days, and several on the job action days to put in place all that you are learning. During your final week, you will complete a project based on some of the skills you have learned that will leave your individual mark on the hotel.

We hope that you will be absolutely amazed at the hundreds of distinct positions and functions housed under the umbrella of “hotel management.” We hope also that you will see what we see- that Pinnacle Partnership upholds a culture of family and hospitality- that we are a great place to work!

Our internship tracks will be scheduled just like hotel hospitality work- flexibly. Plenty of breaks included- all the laughter is free. All interns will be eligible upon completion of program for the Pinnacle Partnership local scholarship for up to $2500 toward a training, certificate, or degree.

You will:

Learn about our company, tour multiple hotels and offices, touch lightly on each department and corporate position, and gain an understanding of how everything (and everyone) works together to make it happen.

Cultivate skills and gain experience during on-the-job training and experiential learning in your chosen departments and track. During the journey, you will enjoy guidance but also autonomy to find your way through obstacles, think critically, build invaluable leadership skills and habits.
