Full Job Description

Full-time non-exempt position. This position reports to the Controller and company President. This is an in person position.

Summary: This role is heavily transactional — entering invoices, coding costs to jobs, processing payroll, and reconciling receipts are daily tasks. The ideal candidate is accurate, organized, and comfortable with repetitive detail work.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Accounts Receivable: issue invoices, track orders to be invoiced, pursue past-due payments.
- Accounts Payable: enter vendor invoices, assign costs to appropriate customers/jobs.
- Reconcile receipts of all employee credit cards with the credit card statement.
- Prepare monthly sales tax report. Assist with reporting sales tax.
- Assist with insurance and other compliance issues for contracts.
- Prepare and submit payroll. Assign hours to appropriate jobs.
- Process incoming checks for deposit.
- Track financial performance on construction contracts.

Qualifications:

- Previous bookkeeping experience is a plus. Knowledge of Quick Books is a must.
- Maintain polite, courteous, tactful communication with clients and company staff.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Punctual, responsible, have organized work habits, and be able to keep up with deadlines and complete daily work on time with few mistakes.
- Exhibit values that include integrity, accountability, and a willingness to have fun.
- Must maintain confidentiality at all times.

Additional Information:

- Full-time non-exempt position; pay range starting at $20.00-$25.00 per hour depending on experience, education, and training.
- Medical, dental, vision, life, employee assistance program and supplemental insurance coverages are available.
- Short Term, Long Term and Life Insurance policy.
- Eight paid holidays per year.
- PTO accrual beginning after the first year of employment.
- Eligible for the company matching 401K plan after one year of employment.

- Employment is contingent on the passing of a pre-employment drug screening. Employees are subject to random drug screenings and for cause screenings thereafter.
