Full Job Description

Position Summary

Innovative Manufacturing is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Agent to join our team. This position is responsible for procuring raw materials, tooling, supplies, and other production-related items to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Create and manage purchase orders using the company's ERP system.
Purchase raw materials, tooling, maintenance supplies, and other items required for production.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to ensure materials are available when needed.
Analyze purchasing reports and inventory data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Obtain pricing and negotiate with vendors to ensure the best value while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
Track purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely receipt of materials.
Resolve discrepancies related to pricing, shipments, and invoices.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
Collaborate with production, accounting, and warehouse teams to support operational needs.
Perform other purchasing and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working with an ERP/MRP system.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
