What You'll Do
As the Executive Director, you'll lead all aspects of facility operations while building a culture that prioritizes quality care, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
Leadership & Operations
- Provide strategic leadership for the daily operations of the skilled nursing facility
- Establish, implement, and evaluate organizational goals that promote quality care and operational success
- Build, mentor, and develop an interdisciplinary leadership team
- Foster a positive, accountable workplace culture focused on teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Drive resident satisfaction and exceptional clinical outcomes through strong leadership
Financial & Regulatory Leadership
- Oversee budgeting, financial performance, and operational efficiency
- Analyze key performance indicators and implement improvement strategies
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, Medicare requirements, and company policies
- Promote survey readiness and maintain a strong culture of quality assurance and regulatory excellence
Leadership Development
- Coach and support department leaders through performance management, mentoring, and professional development
- Help develop future leaders through succession planning and employee engagement initiatives
- Collaborate with fellow Executive Directors through the Ensign peer leadership cluster model to share ideas, best practices, and operational successes
Qualifications
We're seeking a strategic healthcare leader who is committed to excellence, accountability, and delivering outstanding resident care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- Current Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license
- Minimum of two years of leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations governing long-term care
- Proven ability to lead teams, improve operational performance, and achieve organizational goals
- Strong financial management and budgeting experience
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
- Passion for developing people and creating a culture where employees and residents thrive
