The Production Scheduler serves as the subject matter expert on scheduling processes, and is responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating production schedules, coordinating with various departments, and implementing efficient planning strategies. The Production Scheduler is accountable for translating planning requirements, sales forecasts, and inventory levels into actionable production schedules and plans, this role ensures that production activities are synchronized to meet revenue targets.

Key or Essential Functions
The essential functions of the position are largely related to the performance of scheduling duties for Jobs.
- Create and manage detailed production schedules aimed at optimizing resource utilization and maximizing revenue potential.

- Continuously monitor and adjust schedules to address changing priorities or unforeseen production issues.
- Continuously refine schedules to mitigate potential delays and uphold profitability targets.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of production capacity, identifying potential bottlenecks, and proposing solutions to optimize overall efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with production managers to synchronize schedules with available resources and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to implement improvements and adjustments that enhance production capacity while maintaining quality standards.
- Coordination and communication:
- Collaborate with production teams to understand workflow constraints and implement schedules that align with operational capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any challenges and ensure a smooth flow of information.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Communicate regularly with key stakeholders, providing updates on production schedules, potential delays, and capacity constraints.
- Evaluate the financial implications of production plans and schedules, ensuring alignment with revenue and profitability goals.
- Provide strategic recommendations to enhance cost-effectiveness and contribute to overall financial success.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements directly linked to revenue and profitability.
- Implement best practices and leverage technological solutions to elevate planning accuracy and financial performance.

Job Qualifications/Requirements
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors’ degree in Business Management, Operations Management or similar degree preferred;
- Prior Sheet Metal/Machining environment experience preferred;
- Minimum of two years planning experience ;
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills/Abilities:
- Must demonstrate good organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering fabrication drawings
- Strong welding knowledge and application, MIG, TIG and other fabrication processes such as cutting and forming
- Requires knowledge of raw materials, machines and tools
- Strong MRP experience with advanced planning and scheduling required
- Working knowledge and understanding of cost and schedule project management systems
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills are essential
- Must display a good attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to get along with others
