Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in various kitchen environments, including fine dining and catering. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. You will work closely with the kitchen staff to create delicious meals while adhering to food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
Adhere to food safety guidelines and sanitation practices at all times.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
Participate in menu planning and development as needed.
Train and mentor new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.

Skills

Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods.
Experience working in a dietary department or similar kitchen environment is preferred.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen.
A background in fine dining or catering is a plus.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
