Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) and Maintenance Helper

PAY AND BENEFITS
- $21.00 - $36.00/hour DOE.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Production team members to ensure proper function of production systems, address root cause, and complete large projects.
- Perform routine maintenance, including, but not limited to mechanical inspections, electrical inspections, greasing, oil changes, and tune ups.
- Install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair equipment.
- Diagnose and repair production equipment including but not limited to pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, conveyors, pumps, mixers, and cranes.
- Monitor and maintain inventories of parts and supplies as needed to maintain equipment.
- Ensure that proper testing has been completed before returning equipment to production.
- Follow instructions, guidelines and procedures timely and accurately.
- Complete written records of work performed and events.
- Continually improve your knowledge and skills through teamwork, practice, and education.
- Safe and effective use of hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools; any candidate must demonstrate experience with appropriate safety and PPE requirements for each job.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and positive team attitude.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Operate heavy equipment as necessary.
- Understand and use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Adhere to safety rules and standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MAINTENANCE HELPER include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Proactively report observations of equipment condition.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and routine checks on production equipment.
- Assist the Maintenance Shift to respond to equipment breakdowns.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Read and understand service manuals.
- Listen and communicate well, learn new jobs quickly, and work cooperatively with other members of the team.
- Adhere to safety rules and standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS, ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC AND MAINTENANCE HELPER:
- Regular attendance is required as a condition of employment in this position.
- Responsible for supplying your own basic hand tools
- Must be available for scheduled overtime shifts.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in both hot and cold environments.
- Ability to perform some work in small and/or confined spaces.
- Ability to climb ladders, walk up and down steps and work at heights.
- Ability to wear a respirator or self-contained breathing apparatus. Candidate must pass pre-employment respirator medical questionnaire.
- Must be willing to be part of a harassment-free work environment.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test.
EDUCATION AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS OF THE INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC ANDMAINTENCE HELPER:
- Foundry experience preferred.
- Three (3) years’ experience in welding, fabrication, electrical and overall experience in maintaining industrial equipment (Millwright).
- Electrical troubleshooting experience (Millwright.
- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience (Millwright).
- Fabrication experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Manufacturing environment experience a plus.
