Full Job Description

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced, clinically grounded leader to serve as Administrator of a new multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center. The right candidate brings both the clinical credibility to lead at the bedside level and the business acumen to drive a high-performing organization. Position Summary

The Administrator serves as the senior executive leader of the surgery center, responsible for all operational, financial, regulatory, and clinical oversight functions. Working in close partnership with the Medical Director and governing board the Administrator sets the strategic direction of the center, ensures regulatory compliance, builds and retains a high-performing team, and creates an environment where patients, physicians, and staff all thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Strategic Leadership

Oversee all day-to-day operations of the surgery center, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality service delivery across all surgical specialties
Develop and implement short- and long-term strategic plans in collaboration with the governing board and physician partners
Establish and continuously refine operational policies, procedures, and workflows to optimize efficiency and patient flow
Serve as the primary liaison between physicians, clinical staff, administrative teams, and the governing board
Drive case volume growth and service line expansion through strong physician relations and strategic planning

Financial Management

Develop, manage, and monitor the annual operating and capital budgets with a focus on fiscal responsibility and sustainable growth
Analyze financial performance reports and implement corrective action plans as needed
Oversee billing, coding compliance, accounts receivable, and revenue cycle performance in coordination with billing partners
Negotiate vendor, supply, and service contracts to optimize cost efficiency without compromising quality
Prepare and present financial reports and recommendations to the governing board

Clinical Oversight

Leverage clinical background to provide meaningful leadership and support to nursing and ancillary staff
Oversee clinical operations to ensure adherence to best practices and patient safety standards
Champion a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement through participation in QAPI activities
Monitor clinical outcomes data and lead initiatives to improve quality metrics and patient satisfaction scores

People Leadership & Culture

Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top clinical and administrative talent
Build and sustain a positive, inclusive, and high-accountability workplace culture
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide meaningful coaching, and develop individualized growth plans
Foster open, transparent communication across all levels of the organization
Serve as a visible, accessible, and supportive leader who leads by example

Qualifications

Required

Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure or equivalent clinical licensure in the state of practice
Minimum of3 years of progressive leadership experience in an ambulatory surgery, perioperative, or outpatient surgical setting
Demonstrated experience in ASC or surgical facility administration, including budget management and regulatory compliance
Strong working knowledge of CMS ASC Conditions for Coverage and applicable state regulations
Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced clinical environment
Excellent communication, relationship management, and organizational skills

Preferred

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
