Job Overview

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Level I, where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across various healthcare settings. Duties

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates
Support patient transfer methods using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safety for both patients and staff
Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding medical records with precision
Document patient observations and care provided using electronic health records (EHR/Epic systems) with accuracy and timeliness
Support infection control practices by practicing aseptic techniques during patient care activities
Collaborate effectively with nursing teams, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans

Qualifications

Valid certification as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) with current licensure in the state of Texas
Demonstrated experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for medical documentation and patient record management
Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS) certification required
Experience in various healthcare environments such as long-term care facilities, hospitals—including ICU or trauma centers—hospice or home care settings is highly desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper lifting practices and manual handling techniques
Strong communication skills for caregiving interactions and team collaboration
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards
