Role Description

Looking for your next step or perhaps for an entirely new career path? We are in search of a highly detail-oriented person to join our team as a tax admin! This role offers advancement opportunities, and it’s an excellent starting point if you’re looking to jump into the tax field. This full-time role will join our small team in supporting our tax and accounting business which includes tax prep, bookkeeping services, and payroll services. Our ideal candidate works well on a team, learns quickly, and is a strong, professional communicator.

An Important Note: If you are looking for a place to earn hours toward your CPA certification then this is not the role for you. We are Enrolled Agents, not CPAs. If, however, you are interested in obtaining the Enrolled Agent certification we can and will help you get that if you accept a job offer with us.

Duties Include:

Answering the office phone, greeting clients coming and going, and schedule appointments
Preparation & review of federal & state income tax returns for business and individual clients. We can teach you everything you need to know about this if you have no prior experience.
Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion while working with highly sensitive personal information
Communicate with clients to ensure accuracy, set expectations, and deliver exceptional customer service
Perform bookkeeping and payroll services for our business clients with accuracy. Again, we can teach you if you have no prior experience in accounting/bookkeeping.

Requirements:

Reliable attendance in-office. This is not a remote position.
Exceptional attention to detail
Superior written & verbal communication skills in interacting with clients and with other office staff
Ability to learn quickly and implement your new knowledge and skills consistently
An elevated value of integrity and honesty
High school diploma required. Course work in accounting/bookkeeping a plus
1-2 years of experience in an admin role
Ability to take initiative to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and remain flexible as priorities change
Excellent organizational skills and a strong ability to multitask
Able to navigate a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
Familiarity with Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, and 1120 a plus
