Full Job Description

Cayole Cruises (Cayole.com) is a Houston-based cruise agency. We are looking for a Cruise Travel Counselor to join our team. We have built probably the easiest-to-use cruise booking website and we have experimented with paid traffic (i.e. buying ads and directing people to our website) and it seems we can scale our business fairly quickly. As such, we are looking for a strong cruise sales agent with a good track record to join our team. We hope to find a person who can, down the road, build and lead a team of cruise sales agents during our scaling process.

Location Note: While this is a fully remote role where you will work from home, we are exclusively seeking candidates located in the Greater Houston area for initial in-person interviews and possible future local office expansion.

Duties

Sell cruises to clients who call our 1-800 number or inquire about a cruise on our website
Assist clients in selecting ideal cruise itineraries based on their preferences, budget, and travel goals
Provide detailed information on cruise destinations, ship amenities, excursions, and onboard activities
Utilize reservation systems to book cruises accurately and efficiently
Coordinate travel schedules, including flights, transfers and shore excursions for seamless vacation planning
Communicate proactively with clients via phone, email, or chat to answer questions and provide personalized recommendations
Maintain organized client records and follow up to ensure satisfaction before, during, and after their cruise experience
Stay updated on the latest trends in the travel industry and cruise line offerings to deliver current and relevant advice

Qualifications

Proven experience and strong track record of selling cruises and exceeding sales targets
Familiarity with reservation systems of the major cruise lines
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bookings and client requests simultaneously
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients from diverse backgrounds
Experience with remote work environments in a sales setting is highly desirable
Passion for travel and a desire to help others create memorable vacation experiences
