Light Hill Meats is looking for a strong, dependable Butcher Store Manager to help lead our team and support the continued growth of our business. We are seeking someone with leadership ability, food industry experience, and a hands-on approach to both operations and customer service. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality, believes in leading by example, and understands what it takes to run a successful specialty food business. The right candidate will be comfortable managing day-to-day store operations, supporting staff, helping customers, contribute to production/meat cutting, and maintaining the high standards our business is built on.At Light Hill Meats, we believe great food starts with great people. Responsibilities may include:
- Overseeing daily store operations and helping maintain a smooth, efficient workflow
- Leading, supporting, and helping develop team members
- Helping customers in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner
- Assisting with product presentation, merchandising, and overall store standards
- Supporting food production and ensuring quality and consistency across departments
- Helping manage inventory, ordering, waste control, and organization
- Maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and workplace standards throughout the store
- Assisting with scheduling, team accountability, and daily operational priorities
- Leading by example through strong work ethic, professionalism, and attention to detail
Preferred qualifications:
- Management or leadership experience in a butcher shop, grocery store, kitchen, food production setting, or similar environment
- Strong understanding of customer service and team leadership
- Experience working with food handling, food safety, and production standards
- Ability to stay organized and keep operations moving in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a dependable, team-oriented mindset
- Honest, hard-working, and committed to maintaining high standards

POSITION DETAILS
Full-time position with real room to grow within the company. Schedule runs Monday through Saturday with one weekday off. Compensation details listed in the posting.
