Entry-Level CNC MachinistPosition Overview

Looking to start or grow a career in CNC machining? Phoenix Trinity is hiring an Entry-Level CNC Machinist to join our growing firearms manufacturing team.

This is a hands-on training position where you'll learn to operate CNC mills and lathes while producing high-quality, precision firearm components. No prior CNC machining experience is required, although candidates with machining, manufacturing, mechanical, automotive, fabrication, or similar experience are encouraged to apply.

We're looking for someone who is dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable working with numbers and measurements, and has good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and attention to detail. You'll work with small tolerances and precision components, so the ability to see fine details and accurately use measuring tools is required.

Whether you're looking to get your start in machining or already have some experience and want an opportunity to grow, we'll provide training based on your skill level.

Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour, with consideration for additional experience and skill level.

Responsibilities

Learn to safely operate CNC mills and lathes
Load and unload parts while monitoring machine operation
Learn machine setup procedures under the guidance of experienced machinists
Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
Read and follow blueprints, dimensions, tolerances, and work instructions
Accurately work with numbers, measurements, and basic shop math
Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and visual quality
Keep machines stocked with materials and tooling
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
Assist experienced machinists with setups and production as needed

Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude and a strong willingness to learn
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Good vision and ability to identify small details and differences in parts
Comfortable working with numbers, measurements, and basic math
Ability to learn to read calipers, micrometers, gauges, blueprints, and other forms of measurement
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Reliable attendance and positive attitude
Ability to follow instructions and established procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Manufacturing or machine shop experience is preferred but not required

Any of the following experience is a plus, but not necessary to apply:

CNC machining or machine operation
Manual machining
Manufacturing or production
Automotive or mechanical work
Welding or fabrication
Hand tools and power tools
Reading blueprints or technical drawings
Using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or other precision measuring equipment
Basic shop math and working with dimensional tolerances

Candidates with more machining experience are also encouraged to apply. Training, responsibilities, and advancement opportunities may be adjusted based on experience and demonstrated skill level.
