As a global leader in stamped metal products for the filtration industry, we rely on talented, service-oriented individuals to keep our operations running safely and efficiently. We are currently seeking an experienced Material Handler to support electrical systems critical to our production environment. This role plays a key part in equipment reliability, safety, and continuous improvement across our facility.
CNC Programmer/Operator
This position is responsible for developing and adjusting CNC programs, interpreting prints, setting up machines, processing materials, inspecting finished parts, and monitoring machine performance and utilization.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, First Shift (must be willing to work additional hours as needed)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using applicable programming and nesting software.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
- Perform machine start-up, setup, operation, and shutdown procedures.
- Load programs, select tooling and materials, and adjust machine settings as needed.
- Operate CNC laser-cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor cutting performance, cycle times, material usage, and machine utilization.
- Inspect completed parts using micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and other measuring equipment.
- Verify that finished products meet print specifications and customer quality requirements.
- Identify programming, equipment, or quality issues and communicate concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Make approved program and process adjustments to improve quality, efficiency, and material utilization.
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as required.
- Monitor assist-gas levels and replace tanks according to established procedures.
- Perform routine operator maintenance, cleaning, and housekeeping.
- Use hand tools and material-handling equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate production, inspection, and program documentation.
- Work effectively in a Windows-based computer environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements.
- Wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, masks, and steel-toe footwear.
- Maintain compliance with applicable ISO and OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- Previous CNC programming and machine-operation experience preferred.
- Experience operating CNC laser-cutting equipment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of shop mathematics, measurements, tolerances, and material requirements.
- Ability to use micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and other inspection tools.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn CNC programming and production software.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work safely in a metalworking environment that may include noise, dust, and temperature changes.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple production priorities.

The pay range listed for this position reflects the base wage and is provided in compliance with Illinois law. Placement within the range is based on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. Incentive and bonus eligibility, if applicable, are separate and based on performance and company criteria.
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
