Job Summary:
Discover a rewarding career at Arcare. We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with providers to handle time-consuming clerical responsibilities, accurately documenting patient interactions and medical decisions. By enabling providers to focus on patient care, you will play a vital role in improving the overall flow of clinical operations and enhancing the patient experience.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers, and proficiency in EMR systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Arcare’s mission of delivering quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:

Accompany providers into patient exam rooms to transcribe and document patient interactions.

Document provider-dictated patient history, including history of present illness, review of systems, past medical/surgical history, family/social histories, medications, and allergies.

Record physical examination findings, procedures, diagnoses, symptoms, and follow-up instructions as dictated by the provider.

Document laboratory and radiographic study results as relayed by the provider.

Ensure documentation adheres to appropriate medical charting standards and state regulations.

Do not accept or give verbal orders; document orders only within the scope of state laws and under the provider’s supervision.

Adhere to all Arcare policies, including those for safety, information security, infection control, attendance, and personal appearance.

Maintain a professional and respectful working relationship with supervising providers.

Perform other duties as assigned to support Arcare’s goal of providing quality primary healthcare services.

Loan Repayment Opportunities

Eligible clinical team members may qualify for federal loan repayment programs through HRSA, including the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program and the Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program. Eligibility and award approval are determined by HRSA based on role, location, discipline, and program requirements.
