Job Title: Cast Member & Performer
Reports To: Show Manager
Position Summary:
As a Jurassic Quest general cast member, you will contribute to the customer experience by providing the highest level of customer service, ensuring that all guests are treated with respect. You play in integral role in creating joyous memories for families by promoting togetherness and learning. In addition to being the face of the company, crew members work behind the scenes in the load in and load out of the tour, and adhere to health and safety protocols. This position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet. 100% travel is required for the role.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Load in/Load out:
Set up & Tear down of the show. This will include assisting in unloading/loading semi-trucks, operating heavy lift equipment, staging exhibit scenes, setting up rides and bounce houses, regularly cleaning assets, assembling other stations and activities and basic electrical systems installation. These are labor-intensive tasks that involve actively standing, walking, lifting, bending, and working around heavy machinery while working in all climates.
Show Days:
Engaging with customers in interactive experiences. Our crew members will need to remain flexible to work between tasks, including providing breaks for temporary event staff.
Show Host - Hosts multiple 15-minute shows throughout the event day. The shows are interactive with guests and Raptor costume characters.
Baby Dinosaur Puppeteer - Provides atmosphere and meet-and-greet with guests while puppeteering with a baby dinosaur.
Fossil Enthusiast – Engage guests with our real and replica fossils. Training, script, and dinosaur resources are provided, but curious kids will ask you questions, so any existing dinosaur knowledge will come in handy.
Utah Raptor (costume character) – Performs 15-minutes shows throughout each event day. May cover speaking roles or customer service positions.
Public Relations – Supporting Public Relations on media campaigns with local networks.
- Performers are also general crew members who will be asked to help in other areas when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous live entertainment, retail, restaurant, or hospitality industry experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with event set-up breakdown, heavy lifting, working in a labor intensive environment.
- Experience in acting/performance, character performing, show hosting, or similar.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or entertainment setting is preferred.
- Customer service-oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Work in an environment with moderate to loud noise level
- Fast-paced, multi-demand work environment with ability to work a varying schedule.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
Compensation
- $15 Hourly Rate. Average work week ranges between 40-55 hours. Overtime (time and a half) is paid in excess of 40 hours/week.
- Weekly per diem of $120 + weekly stipend of $30.
- Travel and lodging covered by Jurassic Quest.

Experience
- Prior experience working with children in entertainment, education, or performance settings.
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to captivate diverse audiences.
- Experience in live streaming or film production performance environments.
- Background in theater production performance or stage acting with theater experience preferred.
- Proficiency in using microphones, voice acting techniques, and studio recording equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform dance routines or participate in dance-based performances.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for teaching or mentoring others through entertainment.
